Pace and Blue Highway
Here's a little sneak peek from the cooperation between us and Pace Jeans that started last summer, where we got free completely full scope to create our jeans. The garments left our studio a long time ago by now, and the boys at Pace received the first factory copies just in time for the exhibition in Berlin.

For the truly curious ones, some of the complete garments can be seen in a movie from the Berlin exhibition at Pace's own blog (link).

The project is coming to an end
We've been working hard the latest couple of weeks and now that we're beginning to see a finished product, it's clear that it's been worth all the elbow-grease. The time schedule has been held and in the end of February, the jeans will be available at Sivletto.

Here's Hampus folding the inside of the legs of our 20's singer. We've been making the jeans in the following sizes: one piece of 28; two pieces of 30; three pieces of 32; two pieces of 24; and 2 two pieces of 36 - all with the height of 34. The price will be 2500 SEK each. If you're interested, contact Fredrik at Sivletto for more information.

Levi's for the small ones
This is a garment which I stumbled upon during our latest visit to Rose Bowl. It's Levi's trousers for a 1-year old! A really sweet garment from the good old fifties. As you can see at the pictures, the small Levi's pants has the exact same details as the ones that was made for grown-ups at this time. Well, except the child garments has snap buttons.

We filled the pants with paper and put them on a shelf in the studio in order to inspire us in our work!

The trousers has some really neat details, such as the selvedge in the coin pocket, v-stitch and hidden rivets. As you can see, these denim jeans has been used quiet a while by its former owner, and has been worn nicely.

It matches quiet good with the big E jacket which I've also got. Really cute garments, indeed!

Branding iron
The other day, we received something well worth waiting for - our very own branding iron! For tailoring, this is an essential addition to the machines here in the studio now that we may produce our own leather patches. Also, with the smaller ones we can burn our logos at the wallets.

The small label representing a "B" which will be used at smaller products is taken from a Sear's Roebuck Catalog from 1908. And on the logotype, an old black-top sewing machine is visible. The black-top was the sewing-machine on which we tailored our first jeans, so it felt quite natural that this very model would be represented on our skin patches.

The Blue Highway blog
What started out as blog about vintage denim that we found on Ebay, has the last year merged into a blog about our own brand, our custom denim.
Either we write about our collection or our passion for sewing our own jeans, we hope that The Blue Highway blog will inspire you to become a denim nerd like us.
In the gallery section you can find out more about our collection.
